Absolutely fantastic location. I just spent a week with my boyfriend in the Arpino accommodation and we couldn't be happier.
Arpino itself is the most charming little town in Italy.
Very few residents in the town itself and Civitavecchia on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. But Thursday - Sunday the town wakes up and you can easily spend 4-5 days walking the town and soaking up the Italian lifestyle. Monday to Wednesday, you'll have to move away from the city, but it's no problem to make the most of the time. Sora has great city life and a lot more options if you want to try something different. Plus, the old castle ruins in Sora are an adventure to explore. You can also easily spend a day at Lago di Posta Fibreno.
The Arpino apartment itself is a little hidden treasure. It overlooks the valley and Arpino town on the mountain top. It is a modernized apartment in an old charismatic and charming building.
The apartment is deep and connected to the buildings behind it, so it may seem a bit dark at first glance. But if you open all the shutters, it's really only the toilet that is without daylight. Secondly, it's almost illegal to spend more than necessary indoors when the area is as nice as it is 🙂
If in season, you can collect fallen lemons from the lemon tree in the garden and make lemonade 🙂
50% lemon juice and 50% sugar. Mix with water 1:6 when drinking 🙂

Great views from the terrace that can be enjoyed all day in the shade. Requires good and warm weather to stay outside as the living room and kitchen are very dark. Super good area for hiking with many altitude meters. Charming town to explore. Local restaurant Il Ciclope in walking distance is really good

  3. Lisbeth

Unique, historic accommodation with stunning views of the Liri Valley. We spent many hours on the balcony.
