Baveno is a charming town just 1 km from the center of Lake Maggiore and a great place for a relaxing, natural and Italian city break. In the summer, the town buzzes with life with restaurants along the lakeside promenade, cozy cafés and opportunities for both swimming and boating on the lake. A visit to the famous Borromean Islands with their opulent palaces and gardens is an absolute must.
Just 45 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport, Baveno is easily accessible and offers a combination of magnificent nature, cozy towns and a pleasant climate throughout the summer months.
The Val Grande National Park, Italy's largest wilderness area, is just 10 km away and is ideal for hiking and trekking. Golf enthusiasts will find four courses in the area, including the popular Golf Club des Iles Borromees. The lake also offers boating, water sports, diving and fishing (fishing licenses can be purchased at the post office).

The apartment in Baveno is bright and modern with plenty of space for the whole family. With room for 6 people, the apartment has two large double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen-dining room. In the living room there is a sofa bed, which makes it possible to bring children. The apartment has two balconies, one of which offers beautiful views of Lake Maggiore.

Baveno is centrally located on Lake Maggiore and a short drive from both Milan Malpensa Airport (approx. 45 minutes) and Lugano Airport. From here, it's easy to take excursions to the lake's surrounding towns or go on day trips to Milan and northern Italy.

Lovely stay in week 29. Really nice with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms when you have big kids. Nice town, short distance to the lake and the public beach at Villa Fedora where you can find shade. Really delicious Pinsa at La Bottega Food & Wine - Piazza Matteotti 1, Baveno and in general you eat well (remember to book a table at the different places. Nice and beautiful bike ride up Mottarone (bikes enter for free through the toll gate (cars 10 euros), delicious source to fill the water bottle at the source just when you have come through Levo.
My second stay in Baveno - and I will definitely be back! A balcony with great views, short walk from the lake and in a local area with really good places to eat. Really nice sunny and warm weather we had in late May. I am already looking forward to the next stay.

A really nice holiday home with plenty of space and a location within walking distance to town, beach and shopping. Nice with 2 bathrooms when you are a family in the apartment. The area offers many excursion opportunities for both adults and children.
We were there at Easter 2024. The apartment is well furnished and accommodates 2 couples + 1 child very nicely with a separate section for one couple. It has a gas stove, so you avoid problems with the electricity turning off. The area is very beautiful; but unfortunately the weather was not with us, it rained quite a lot. We found nice indoor options in the nearby padel center and the art museum in Verbania.
It's really nice in Baveno. We were there in mid-March and spring was on its way. Of course, not all attractions are open at that time, but the weather was fine for staying outside, even in the tricky places during the daytime. However, there was a need to be warm in the evenings (which was difficult). During this period, when it's low season, you get a lot for your money.
