Here you get a combination of long sandy beaches, a sunny climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and a wealth of experiences for both adults and children. From cultural history and shopping to tapas bars, beach life and world-class golf, the area offers it all.
In La Cala de Mijas you are close to it all. From the balcony of the apartment you can enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea all the way to Gibraltar and on a clear day, Ceuta on the Moroccan coast.
About the apartment
The apartment is located in a charming and well-kept holiday complex with a shared pool, garden and cozy common areas. It is furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay and has a sunny balcony overlooking the sea.
There's plenty of space to relax but also to explore the surrounding area, where you'll find restaurants and shopping opportunities within 500 meters. The beach is just 600 meters away, so you can walk there in minutes and enjoy a full day of sun and sea.
Location and transportation
The nearest airport is Málaga Costa del Sol, just half an hour's drive away.
To get to La Cala de Mijas, you can take the train from Málaga Airport to Fuengirola and then bus to the city. The journey takes approximately one hour and timetables can be found here. Alternatively, you can book a bus ticket via omio.com.
However, if you want to get around Andalusia easily and visit beaches, cities and attractions, we recommend renting a car. Other options include taxi, Uber and Cabify.
Practical information
- 100 euros for final cleaning is payable in cash on site and includes linen, towels and pool towels.
- Consumption is charged at DKK 21 per person per day and is automatically added to the price. Remember to state the correct number of people when booking.
Great experiences in the local area
- Relax on the beach just 600 meters from the apartment.

We had an amazing vacation in this lovely apartment in Mijas! The apartment was clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and the balcony/terrace offered a beautiful view and plenty of sun - perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
The location was also ideal - quiet surroundings, but still close to the beach, shopping, and Mijas Pueblo, which is super charming.
We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation - and we would love to come again!

There is a larger selection in la Cala de Mijas, where a taxi costs 6-7 EUR. At the wine bar Pura Cepa Mijas it is super cozy and possible to try wines in different price ranges.
We had a wonderful week in March 2025. The property has a good layout, a lovely balcony and is generally very well equipped compared to other properties we have rented in Andalusia. You can walk to the beach in 10-15 minutes. There are good supermarkets in the area. Several excursions are within easy reach of the apartment.
Super vacation home with great views of the Mediterranean and Gibraltar and Morocco on clear days. Good shopping and restaurants within 100-200 meters but in hilly terrain.
The apartment has good hard beds and well-functioning air conditioning.
We went in late Sept/early Oct. The area is filled with quiet apartment complexes and it is super nice that the supermarket and beach are in pleasant walking distance. Very relaxing. Lovely views. We were mostly on the terrace (where we missed a sun sail) 🙂 28 degrees and almost no wind. We were a trip from Tarifa to Tangier by ferry. Lovely vacation.

Only 20 min to Marbella and about 30 min to Malaga - so perfect to rent a car to the area.
We traveled two adults and a 2-year-old boy - but could easily have been more as there are two good bedrooms and a cot that can be set up.
We have just returned home after 2 weeks of wonderful vacation in this beautiful apartment.
Everything worked well and although the apartment is a bit older, it has been updated with new furniture and fixtures.
We enjoyed being in quiet surroundings and with a lovely view from the small balcony.
It's easy to get around, but we felt we needed a car to reach the surrounding attractions and restaurants.
We visited beautiful Ronda, where we can recommend Tapas at Reastaurant Elias.
Furongirola is cozy and here we would recommend a dinner at PicoTeo. It was really delicious.
We also visited the water park, which the kids thought was fun, but be aware that you have to be over 7 years old to try most of the slides and in addition to the entrance fee, you have to pay for sun loungers and rent bathing rings for the slides if you do not want to queue for them.
The kids had more fun with the inflatable bouncy castle in the water on the cozy beach in Mijas.
If you're into shopping, you'll love Marbella or Malaga.
Malaga also has a large outlet called Plaza Mayor, where it is cheap.
In Malaga we also visited the food market, which is a nice experience with good tapas.

The apartment is located in very quiet surroundings and with about 600 meters to a good sandy beach.
Well located in relation to many exciting excursion destinations.

Great location. Close to beach, restaurants and shops. Nice and clean pool. Good and functional and clean apartment with wifi and cromecast for TV. We were there in week 32 where it was 32-35 degrees and 25 degrees at night. Fortunately, there is air conditioning in the apartment.
On arrival at Malaga airport we took a taxi to the apartment (60 Euro Saturday rate). On the return journey we took a taxi to Fuengirola (30 Euro) and then the train to the airport about 24 kr per person. Super nice and clean train. It is cheap to travel by bus, but we found it a bit difficult to bring suitcases on the bus. Therefore, taxi for the last stretch. We have used bus numbers 119 and 220 to get around the area, and we have written more about this in the guestbook / apartment.

A lovely apartment, easy to find and within walking distance to most things. Beautiful garden and swimming pool facility.
The view is really nice, a minus is that the balcony is a bit too small if you are 4 people. 2 is really nice. We were very happy with our stay and would like to come again.
