Goslar is a year-round destination where you can enjoy hiking in the mountains and beautiful scenery of the Harz Mountains in summer and a Christmas market filled with classic German Christmas spirit in winter.
The city offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés and shops, including the famous Karstadt department store. From Goslar you can also enjoy day trips to the cultural cities of Bad Harzburg and Quedlinburg, both less than an hour's drive away.
About the apartment
The apartment in Breite Strasse is located in the historic center of Goslar in a classic half-timbered house. Here you'll be in the heart of the city within easy reach of sights, restaurants and shopping. The apartment is located on the top floor without an elevator and there are some stairs. It is therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
The home has been completely renovated and is set over two floors. There are three bedrooms with space for a total of six people, making it ideal for a family or group of friends who want to experience Goslar's charm up close.
During the winter months you can combine your stay with a ski trip. The small ski area Bocksberg is about a 30-minute drive away and has 4 km of slopes and six lifts; perfect for a cheap and cheerful ski day. Please note that the area is small and check the season and snow guarantee yourself.
Location and transportation
The apartment is located right in the center of Goslar, providing easy access to culture, shopping and restaurants. The nearest airport is Hannover Airport, from where it's about an hour and a half drive to Goslar.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location in the city. The bedrooms are very large with lots of closet space. Please note that there is four hours of free parking with an electric car in Kornstrasse.
The apartment is a good starting point for hikes such as Brocken, Titan RT bridge and Bodetal. The routes are well marked.

Large and friendly apartment in the heart of Goslar. Lovely rooms and huge common room on the top floor.
Large apartment in a perfect location in the beautiful city of Goslar. Lots of great restaurants are within walking distance. We parked in the large parking lot - Parkplatz Kornstrasse (386004), where you can use the Easy-Park App and it's free on Sundays and public holidays and every day between 18 and 10. Plenty of exciting experiences can be found within a half-hour drive from the apartment by car. A trip to Goslar in the Breite Strasse apartment is highly recommended.
Lovely accommodation centrally located 200 meters from the pedestrian area. From here you have easy access to both Goslar, but also the rest of the Harz. There is parking 200 meters from the property at a very low rate, so bring your car and discover the beautiful Harz Mountains.
Fantastic city where you step into another age. The home has everything you need and you get a great view just by looking out the windows.
Lovely, large, spacious and renovated apartment that is centrally located.
A bit dark, especially on the lower floor - so would have been even better if a balcony or access to terrace.
Would have made parking easier if the apartment came with a resident parking card - or at least some guidance in the apartment or in the info letter (e.g. about free parking in certain places, e.g. close to the train station).

Apartments are located on the 3rd and 4th floor and are without elevator, which is the reason for only 4 stars.
Restaurant Rigoletti and Casa da Enzo are two good Italian restaurants.

Really nice two-story apartment in the center of Goslar. Large bedrooms with plenty of closet space. Well-equipped, small kitchen. Very nice storage room where the washing machine was. The TV room upstairs is a hit.
Super nice apartment with all necessities available. Well furnished with sleeping accommodation on one level and a large TV room on another level. Centrally located close to the pedestrian street with many options for good restaurants (remember cash not all places accept cards). There is a fantastic butcher close by that has really good food if you want to cook yourself. Shopping close by. A trip to Brocken (Blocksbjerg) is worth a trip by train. But otherwise many things to do in the area.

Goslar and the area around the city is definitely worth a visit and preferably several.
