One of the big pluses of the accommodation is the beautiful roof terrace where we had breakfast in the sun every day - and we also used the built-in barbecue on the roof terrace several times. Nice view of the white houses in the vacation area, palm trees in the distance and fine flower bushes such as bougainvilleas. Also lovely with the small covered terrace downstairs. The residential area Los Dolses itself is very quiet and nice, but the small "square" with restaurants close by is a bit tacky and rather uncharming. Small supermarket close by - however, we drove to the somewhat larger Mercadona in VillaMartin - cheaper and larger selection. We can only encourage you to get away from the touristy coast and explore cities like Cartagena and Elche - such lovely, cozy towns. The accommodation is a great base for both relaxation and adventure - we saw wild flamingos in Torrevieja by the pink salt lake. The big teenagers enjoyed the roadside pool, which you have access to, and we often had the pool to ourselves, even though we traveled in July/August. We would love to come back.

  2. Ane Ellegaard

Lovely apartment with a nice, quiet pool just down the road and a super roof terrace.
The nearest roads are nice and cozy but the surrounding area was a bit tacky and in August filled with many tourists and the beach was almost not accessible. We really enjoyed having a car and the surrounding countryside and towns.

  3. Nanna Holst

Really lovely, aesthetic and well-functioning house in a beautiful and quiet residential area. It's brilliant that there is both a covered balcony if you want to avoid wind, rain and midday sun and still be outside and the beautiful roof terrace with both sunbathing and sunset in clear weather. It is absolutely necessary to have a car, as there is no real town in the area and it is a long walk to the sea through heavy traffic. It went completely over our heads that there was access to one of the communal pools locally in the area, because we couldn't read about it in the papers - and only see this thread after returning home - but good that the opportunity exists on a hot home day. Like many others in here, we are excited about Cartagena - and then we can recommend grabbing the terrific and crazy cheap 'menu del día' for lunch at the very local restaurant Nebraska in Santiago de la Ribera with subsequent siesta on the city's fine beach if you want to experience authentic Spanish atmosphere and cuisine without tourist hype.

  4. Flemming Jakobsen

Lovely accommodation with plenty of space for 4 people. Good beds. Lovely roof terrace. Pure luxury with 2 bathrooms. Limited dining options close by. Many good excursion destinations in the area, Cartagena is definitely worth a visit.
Nice with the communal swimming pool in the area.

The property is in lovely condition, there is a lovely balcony and a large roof terrace at the top of a steep staircase, which may not make the property quite so child-friendly if you have small children. There are all modern conveniences and machines in the kitchen including a washing machine. There is also air conditioning and ceiling fans. The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood. There are local eateries and a small shopping center. Close by is the beach and a mega mall with restaurants and shopping center. There is also access to a lovely swimming pool 2 minutes from the home.

Excellent apartment with a nice roof terrace and with both dishwasher and washing machine. It is located in a quiet area with many English vacationers/residents.
We did not manage to find a restaurant with Spanish food. For lack of anything better, we visited "La Finca", which is not far away, but the way there on foot is a bit winding. However, the menu is clearly influenced by the many English guests.
The local supermarket can be reached on foot, but for most other things you need a car.
We played on three beautiful and well-maintained golf courses: Villamartin, La Finca and Las Ramblas. The last one is by far the most challenging of the three.

Los Dolses 630 is a lovely apartment in an equally lovely house located on a dead-end and therefore quiet road. And the apartment is fantastic. We have in the 14 days we have lived there felt very "at home". And there is everything you need. We chose to go there in March. And we moved into an apartment that was very clean and tidy. And although the weather had been bad and cold throughout February, we experienced blue skies and sunshine with temperatures between 25 - 28 degrees every day. This gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the good weather on the balcony, the wonderful roof terrace and at the beautiful beach in La Zenia. The apartment is also well furnished. Cozy kitchen with dishwasher. Two good bathrooms and a bedroom with a good double bed. Parking right in front of the house. There is a 5 min. walk to a good supermarket. Close by is also the large Boulevard shopping center with over 150 shops. A beautiful and exciting center with free parking in the basement. Several good restaurants in the same short walking distance. And at reasonable prices. We can recommend Quisine and Fa Li Du. There is also a good golf course close by - Villamartin Golf. The area is vacation apartments and is well located for many exciting trips by car to e.g. Elche, Alicante and Cartegna. The last 2 are fantastic cities. Los Dolses is a nice and noble area and can really be recommended for those who want a good and relaxing vacation. That's what we wanted. And it was definitely a success!

  8. Iben worry-free

Los Dolses fulfilled our need for sun and relaxation in January! 20 degrees and sunshine every day, which was lucky. Typical holiday residential area, mainly inhabited by foreigners, which is why there are hardly any Spanish restaurants nearby! But there are Indian, Italian and many English pubs... If you want to try Spanish food, Los Cucalos (see Facebook) is a local place close by and also Dona Isabel in San Miguel de Salinas. A must is El Gallego in Pilar de Horadada, which is a fantastic meat place; the owner raises the animals in northern Spain and ships the meat south. Their beef is great! A bit of an Argentinian concept with a lot of emphasis on meat quality, and the vegetables not the big focus . . .
Shopping can be done in Dualprix close by (a bit expensive and small selection) or in Consum towards the water. You have to drive a bit to see "real" Spanish life, but Murcia and Cartagena are worth a visit, as well as the small town of San Miguel de Salinas, which is closer. In addition, the large "fenced" lagoon, starting at San Pedro del Pinatar, south of Los Dolses, which is also partly a bird sanctuary where bird migrations to and from Africa stop. Long harbor promenade with life and restaurants.
