Gastronomy, wine and nature experiences in the heart of Piedmont
Montegrosso is the perfect destination for bon vivants who want to combine relaxation with unique food and wine experiences. The area is known for its lush vineyards, quaint villages and gastronomic traditions, with wines like Barolo and Barbera and local delicacies taking center stage.
Visit the wine town of Asti, known for its sparkling wines, the charming town of Alba with its famous truffle market, or Bra, where the world famous Slow Food movement was founded. In late summer and fall, the area comes alive when the wine harvest is celebrated with festivals and local markets. Montegrosso is also a great starting point for cycling and hiking through the vineyards, where nature and culture go hand in hand.

Perfect base for hiking, cycling, wine and gastronomy. One of the most peaceful places you can imagine. It was luxury for the two of us, but the accommodation would also work perfectly for a couple of families. As for recommendations for vineyard visits, there are some tips in the guestbook. Otherwise, start by visiting the winery in town with Francesco Bertolino, who speaks perfect English and knows everything about the area. He acts as a kind of tourist office and is incredibly friendly and helpful. He also makes great wines himself, which everyone can taste for free
Lovely large house with lots of space and perfect for a vacation in wine country
Close to shopping, restaurants and local wineries offering tastings. Very quiet area.
We were there for the second time and the house was upgraded with air conditioning and clearly an improvement when the sun bakes in Piedmont...
We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The house is spacious and well furnished with a great location with panoramic views. It is a great starting point for trips around the beautiful Piedmont.
This is our 2nd stay in Montegrosso and the usability has multiplied after the installation of air conditioning - great!
Furniture, crockery and fittings were upgraded and the house appeared much more harmonious than before.
It was spotlessly clean on arrival, but apparently it is still difficult to dispose of rubbish/recycling correctly and we had to drive a load to the site in the neighboring village.
The house is big and spacious with room for everyone to do whatever they want. Sunbathing outside, streaming through chromecast in the TV room, playing games in the living room or cooking in the large kitchen area. AC made the temperature comfortable throughout the house.
Beautiful area to walk around. If you are a family in need of more activities, there is padel in Asti, next to the pool and go-karting is also available in the area.
I can recommend the restaurant "El Argentino", which is further up the mountain. Here you get delicious meat at an affordable price compared to the quality.
Nice big house. Well-functioning cooling even in hot period. Superb location on top of the mountain, with 50 meters walk to fine restaurant (Restaurant Centrale). There are several good restaurants within walking distance and wine tasting at Bertolino at the foot of the hill. We also visited a nice public pool facility about 5 km from the accommodation. Nice with the possibility of swimming close by.
Nice big house. We were 2 couples and due to the good weather we only used the kitchen/living room and the bedrooms on the 1st floor.
A few small things are missing, but the house works well.
A lovely spacious house in a unique location if, like us, you want to visit wine producers in the Piedmont area and/or make a detour to the Italian Riviera or Turin.
Absolute value for money - and highly recommended.
