  1. Arne and Miam

As previous reviewers have described, Orsara Bormida is the perfect place to stay if you like total peace and quiet, friendly and helpful neighbors and stunning views from the kitchen and terrace.
There are also great cycling opportunities in the area. However, be aware of some potholes in the roads.
Route 456 from Aqui Terme to Nizza and back over Fontanile is a really nice ride without too much traffic (September).

  2. Per and Susanne

A small unique place for pure relaxation. There is nothing going on in the area. About 1.3 km down the mountain is a small shop with limited selection and the local bar. Good shopping opportunities in Acqui Terme. Don't forget to visit Asti and Barolo.

  3. Sophie & Sverre Simonsen

The house is located in a village with 80 inhabitants up the mountainside. We met great hospitality and welcoming neighbors - luckily we speak French because we did not meet anyone who speaks English.
In terms of location, it is a small minus that you have to drive to everything. A location in Orsara Bormida, Trisobbio or Montaldo Bormida would have triggered 5 stars, because then you could shop and visit the local castles, restaurants and wine cooperatives (Cantina) on foot.
A good starting point for excursions to the wine regions (Asti, Barolo, Barbaresco and the local Barbera and Dolcetti grapes), market days in Acqui Terme, outlet in Serravalle. The cities of Genoa, Turin and Milan are also within reach on a day trip.
Try the local specialties like Farinata (chickpeas) and amaretti (almond cookies).
Huge plus for A/C, Wifi and Chromecast, especially for our young people.

  4. Ole Møller Madsen

Nice house, nice neighbors, very quiet in small village, great views from the terrace with sunset.
Ideal if you want to experience Genoa, Riveraen, Barolo, Alba on the same vacation as they are about 1 hour drive away. In the area, Canyon, Aqua Terma and Sibosia with an outdoor pool and a great restaurant are recommended. And if you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is just the place.

  5. Finn & Elsebeth

An incredibly lovely holiday home located in a local area where you feel the real and exceptionally beautiful Piedmont. The view from the terrace and kitchen is like something out of a specially selected postcard, with small towns on mountain tops, vineyards, landscapes and in the morning even distant mountains with snow on top. Many interesting excursions to wineries, hiking areas and small towns. A hike to the Canyon 16 km from the accommodation is recommended - here it is possible to hike on trails and rocks along a small river, where it is possible to dip your toes and take a swim if you feel like it. Exploring wine and food is a chapter of its own, so we've written some recommendations in the guestbook.

  6. Jesper Toftlund

Beautiful, well-appointed and well-functioning home in peaceful rural surroundings. Lovely terrace and great views.

  7. Birthe & Jens

A lovely holiday home with plenty of space - and great views of vineyards and you can enjoy a fantastic sunset from the terrace every day. There is almost sun all day - and the location is very authentic in an Italian mountain / wine area. Good shopping opportunities nearby 3-12 km. - you have everything your heart desires :-). Very nice to shop locally in the small shops.
Kitchen is located next to the terrace.
A vacation home we can recommend - but probably mostly for adults.

  8. Tommy and Lone

A stunning little gem with a lovely terrace and beautiful views with all-day sun and sunsets. The house is well decorated. High ceilings and large rooms. Kitchen facing the terrace has everything you need. Located 3 km from the nearest shopping and surrounded by wine fields and vineyards. Located in an authentic small Italian village - with very friendly neighbors. Can ONLY be highly recommended.
