Holiday apartment with mountain views in the Italian Dolomites
The mountains of northern Italy are something special. In winter, the area is a skier's paradise with access to both Madonna di Campiglio and Marilleva, while summer offers hiking, river rafting, mountain biking and nature experiences in a class of their own. Here you can go on active excursions or simply enjoy the fresh mountain air and beautiful surroundings.
Folgarida is a small town in the Dolomites with a cozy atmosphere and five restaurants within walking distance. For more dining and shopping options, head to Dimaro (15 minutes by car). For a more urban experience, Trento is just an hour's drive away with culture, shopping and Italian city life.

About the apartment
Mughetto is a spacious two-storey apartment with room for 6 guests. It has two bedrooms, one sleeping four and one sleeping two, and an older kitchen with all the necessary equipment. On the first floor you have access to a large balcony with beautiful mountain views. The balcony is shared with the neighbor and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a cup of hot chocolate while the sun sets behind the mountains.
Location and transportation
Both Bolzano and Milan Airport are within easy reach, giving you flexible travel options. The trip from Bolzano Airport takes approximately 1½ hours. The trip from Milan Airport takes 3½ hours. We recommend renting a car as it gives you the freedom to explore the area and go on excursions in the mountains.
The property is centrally located in Folgarida with just a few minutes' walk to the nearest ski lift, which takes you directly to Marilleva. From here you can easily continue to Madonna di Campiglio, which together is a ski area with around 120 kilometers of slopes. In summer you can take the lift to the mountain peaks where the air is fresh, the views are endless and melted snow has created small, sparkling mountain lakes.
Practical information
- Bookings can only be made starting on Tuesday or Saturday, otherwise we will not be able to clean the apartment. It is allowed to book from Saturday but not arrive until Sunday, for example, but there will be no refund for the days you do not use.
- Final cleaning is mandatory and costs 1125 kr. It is automatically added when booking and includes linen and towels.
- Consumption is charged at DKK 21 per person per day and is automatically added to the price. Remember to state the correct number of people when booking.
Parking space
The apartment has one parking space at the property. If you arrive in several cars, you will need to find parking elsewhere in the city. We have been recommended to park in the parking garage at Hotel Belvedere. It is a 10-minute walk from the apartment.

The kitchen needs better lighting but is well equipped. Apartments work well for a ski vacation.
If the parking lot opposite the house is crossed, you can ski through the forest and directly onto the slopes.
We were on a ski vacation over New Year and our price was about half price. Great to just walk across the road and then 50 meters to the ski slope. Every day we skied to the Madonne Di Campiglio area and the Folgarida area. There was enough for 1 week. Buy ski passes for both areas, but not a big deal (not necessary). We will try summer vacation as there are plenty of nice hiking routes.
On the way down we stopped in the Brenner Pass - there is a nice outlet with 70 shops right at the top. Here we bought ski equipment for our daughter, who is now 14 years old and probably won't grow any more.
Best ski resort I've ever been to - full sun all week and snow-sure. Primarily Italian ski tourists from Northern Italy, some Americans, Germans, but no Danish ski tourists.
Shopping in Male about 15 min away in 3 large supermarkets and then in the small local.
We paid 250 euros for cleaning, bedding, etc. It's a bit on the expensive end, but we were happy not to have to carry all these things in the car, which was already full for a ski vacation. For summer vacation, we will probably choose to clean ourselves and bring bedding.
Good starting point for hiking in the local and surrounding area. Must do'es:
Three lakes from the top of Funivie Folgarida Marilleva (actually there are at least 5 larger lakes)

Five lakes from Patascoss, Madonna di Campiglio

Another week in the ski lodge, still everything ok and in order. Cozy little gem with super skiing almost to the door. Can definitely be recommended. Were 4 adults - suitable
Ski vacation week 03-2024, nice location close to the slopes. Cozy accommodation - but a little small living / dining area 🙂 Everything works perfectly - and despite the description we were sent there was both washing machine and dryer 🙂 Cozy but very quiet area - good food at the restaurant next to the ski rental. Nice little grocery store close by - and for larger purchases there is a Coop not too far away. Don't expect big and wild after-ski ... here you should probably go to Campiglio 😉
Very nice accommodation for 4 seniors on a ski trip. 150 km of good and wide slopes. Lift pass for 5 days in week 2 to Madonna di Campiglio, however, quite expensive - just over 2400, - kr.
We ate breakfast and dinner in the cabin and could make do with food from the local minimarket (500 m. from the accommodation) - they are very sweet. You can order hot lasagna there and it tasted really good.
We are strongly considering coming again in January 2025.
Summer vacation week 28 - 2023 Older two-storey home where the furniture and fixtures are of an older date, but they fit the home well. We were 2 adults with our two young children (19 and 21 years old), and there was plenty of space for us although the ceiling height was tight in the bedrooms.
Great location in the town of Folgarida with mountain views from the top balcony. Good hiking and biking routes and very easy to get around the area and experience the waterfalls in the Genoa Valley (must see!) and fantastic hiking (5 lakes) in Madonna di Campiglio (must do!)
We will definitely come back there.
Great apartment for summer vacation (July 2022). Great hiking routes and activities for the whole family. Relax on the roof terrace, plenty of space for two adults and three older children (8-16 years).
Nice little apartment for 4 people close to the slopes. Walk across the road and you are on. Inventory is ok albeit of a slightly older date, but everything worked fine. Ski room is to the right when you look at the house from the road. Nice with the new dishwasher.
Very nice location. Take piste 2 and turn down the path just after Hotel Alaska.
Then it's only 150 meters to the house.
The ski area is good with easy access to Ma. Di Campiglio. However, quite expensive lift passes.
We were 2 adults, 3 older children and although space is limited it worked fine. Good value for money.
Very nice location, with only a few minutes walk through the forest and you are on the slopes. Nice ski area, especially as the area is connected to Madonna di Campiglio. The accommodation itself is a little older - and in need of an upgrade. Suitable for 4 people, but especially the dining/living areas seem too small for more than 4 people. Nice rooms.
