City and sun vacation in one
Vence is a charming town on the French Riviera, surrounded by an old city wall that frames the historic city center. Here you'll find small shops, cozy cafés and plenty of culture. The city is especially known for Henri Matisse's famous mosaic in La Chapelle du Rosaire, but also for its authentic Mediterranean atmosphere.
With this vacation rental, you get the best of both worlds: year-round city breaks in Nice and Vence and a sunny summer vacation with access to the pool and the beautiful coast of the French Riviera.
About the apartment
The apartment is located in a quiet residential area with access to a communal swimming pool, which is open from May to October. The accommodation is spread over two floors: on the ground floor you will find a small kitchen area and bathroom, while the first floor houses the bedrooms.
From the large private terrace you can enjoy sunny afternoons and warm evenings with views of the area. The home has three bedrooms; one with a double bed and two small rooms with a single bed in each. It offers plenty of space for a family or small group who want to stay close to both city and nature.
Please note that the apartment is not suitable for people with walking difficulties, as a narrow and angled staircase connects the two floors.
Location and transportation
The nearest airport is Nice Côte d'Azur, which is a short drive from Vence. From here it's easy to get to both the coastal towns of the Riviera and the beautiful hinterland of Provence, where you'll find picturesque villages and markets.

Nice apartment for a family. Nice terrace which we used a lot. Quiet area and nice pool good size. Neat and tidy area inside the area. Small bakery close by where you can buy bread, water and fruit/vegetables, nothing else.
Overall a lovely visit to Vence in week 30. Nicely located in a lovely town in the south of France.
Clear plus is the apartment on the ground floor and the terrace. The apartment is super nicely decorated on the ground floor with well-equipped interior (nothing missing!).
Clear minus is the 1st floor with rooms that are not very large and lack air-conditioning. Huge mistake that there is no air conditioning, and it will not be visited again until it is fixed. The beds in the rooms are very small. In addition, the area caretaker is a nuisance who will not accept ball games (even without other guests and with small ball) or chairs / sun loungers by the pool. Also a clear challenge that he does not speak English. His approach drags the experience down
A home that, despite its limited size, manages to fulfill the necessary practical needs inside. However, the roof overhang takes so much light that the living room/kitchen seems very dark and the lights have to be turned on very early.
If you travel by public transport, it's worth knowing that opposite the large bus stop, local free bus no. 2 departs, which runs right to the property. Bus stop Vosgelade, or Ugecamp, is right next to the entrance gate. However, this does NOT run on Sundays and public holidays. We arrived on a Sunday and found the taxi service to be very sparse, if not impossible.
